George Pelecanos heads to London's Boogaloo

'The Wire' writer/producer to give talk alongside Pogues' Spider Stacy
George Pelecanos, one of the main writers and producers of TV show 'The Wire', is to give a talk at London pub The Boogaloo later this month.

Pelecanos will appear at the north London venue on July 23, along with The Pogues' founder member Spider Stacy, who will play a set with a band under the name Spider Stacy And Friends.

Tickets for the gig go on sale this Thursday (July 9) from 9am (BST), and doors to the venue open at 7pm on July 23. The show is set to start at 8pm.
