The Police confirm European tour

The Police have confirmed details of UK and European dates today (March 5).

As previously reported, the trio recently announce a series of North American reunion shows.

The group led by Sting have now reveal they will mount a series of European shows, kicking off at the Globe Arena in Stockholm on August 29.

The UK dates begin on September 4 in Birmingham and includes gigs at London Twickenham Stadium on September 9 and the tour's final date at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on October 19.

The shows will be the band’s first UK gigs since they played Wembley Arena on New Year’s Eve 1983 on their Synchronicity Tour.

Tickets for the UK shows go on sale Friday (March 9) at 9am.

Arena shows are limited to four per person, while stadium gigs will be restricted to six. A portion of the proceeds from the tour will be donated to the charity WaterAid.
