Andy Summers' story will hit the big screen

Police guitarist Andy Summers is reportedly preparing to turn his autobiography 'One Train Later' into a documentary film.

The film will likely include 25,000 photos from Summers' collection as well as footage from The Police's current reunion tour.

Lauren Lazin is in negotiations to direct the film, and actor Nicolas Cage has signed on as a producer, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

The film will depict Summers' life from his childhood in England to encounters with several music legends, as well as the formation and current reunion of The Police.

The filmmakers are aiming to complete the film in time for the Sundance Film Festival in early 2009.
