Charity single storms chart twice over

The Proclaimers have held onto the Number One spot in the UK charts.

The Comic Relief version of their hit 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)' featuring comedians Peter Kay and Matt Lucas, holds onto the top spot, the song's first placing in the Top 40.

New chart rules means that the original version, from 1988, also makes it into the chart at Number 29.

Meanwhile, Take That remain at the top of the album chart with 'Beautiful World'.

This week's Top Ten singles are:

2. 'Girlfriend' - Avril Lavigne
3. 'The Sweet Escape' – Gwen Stefani ft Akon
4. 'Destination Calabria' – Alex Gaudino ft Crystal Waters

6. 'Glamorous' – Fergie ft Ludacris
7. 'Ruby' – Kaiser Chiefs
8. 'Shine' – Take That
9. 'What Goes Around Comes Around' – Justin Timberlake
10. 'Grace Kelly' - Mika
