The Prodigy will headline this years' Creamfields festival.

The dance giants will play the Saturday night slot of the festival – their only UK festival appearance this summer – which takes place in Daresbury, Cheshire over August 23–25. Also announced for the bash is Swedish DJ Avicii, Tiësto and David Guetta – who will headline the North Stage on the Sunday night.

Meanwhile, Groove Armada are likely to unveil some new material, and NME radar star Madeon will also play over the weekend, with Maya Jane Coles set to take on the Pryda Friends Arena. Heading up the Annie Mac Presents Arena will be Julio Bashmore, along with Eats Everything and Toddla T, AlunaGeorge and the man behind the 'Harlem Shake,' Baauer.

Yesterday, Creamfields organisers announced that they had made £500,000 worth of improvements to the festival site, after it was forced to shut down early last year due to heavy flooding.
