The Raconteurs gave a rousing, no-nonsense performance at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles last night (May 18) to the delight of the lucky few able to get tickets to the last-minute intimate gig.
Jack White and company said very little during their 90-minute set, but treated the sold-out crowd to straight-ahead blues rock.
The band focused on their most recent album 'Consolers Of The Lonely', playing tracks including 'The Switch And The Spur' and 'Top Yourself', as well as a handful of songs from their first album 'Broken Boy Soldiers'.
White, dressed all in black, concentrated intently throughout the set and, at one point, showcased his virtuoso guitar skills with an extended, Jimi Hendrix-style solo.
During the encore performance of 'Many Shades of Black', Brendan Benson kicked off the song acoustically before the whole band joined in.
