The Rakes set to release summer single

The Rakes have announced that they are set to release their new single 'The World Was A Mess But His Hair Was Perfect' in the summer.

The single will be released on July 16 as two special edition 7-inch formats, featuring tracks from the band's recent Zane Lowe Radio 1 session, as well as a download bundle featuring a special James Rutledge remix of the track.

The single will be their second taken from the album 'Ten New Messages', which was released in March.

Meanwhile, The Rakes are set to play both Glastonbury and O2 Wireless this summer before heading out to Brazil for their first headline tour of South America.
