The Raveonettes have told NME.COM that they are writing and recording three EPs in the midst of a busy touring schedule this summer.
While Sharin Foo is in Los Angeles preparing for the birth of her child, the other half of the Danish duo -- Sune Rose Wagner -- is writing the EPs in between playing several festival dates with Foo's sister Louise, who is standing in for her.
"I've always wanted to record two albums in one year, like The Ramones -- and doing three EPs is essentially like recording another album," Wagner told NME.COM.
"I'm working on the first one now and it's totally electronic -- no guitars. It should be an interesting one, and Sharin will sing the vocals at home."
Wagner said that each of the EPs will contain four tracks, and the band plan to release them subsequently in September, October and November.
As for touring, Wagner just played a couple of warm-up shows with Louise and guitarist Lisbeth Fritze to prepare for the US and European festivals this summer.
"The shows in Denmark went well--I think people are very understanding of our situation," he said.
Those who want to see the band's original line-up in the future need not worry. "I think Sharin will be up for playing shows as soon as possible after she gives birth," Wagner said.
