Make Music takes place this Saturday

The Raveonettes are gearing up to play their only US gig this summer at the Make Music festival in Pasadena on Saturday (June 21).

The Danish duo will take to the streets of old town Pasadena just outside of Los Angeles for the free inaugural event, their first-ever gig in the city.

"We wanted to play a US festival this summer and we thought it would be fun," The Raveonettes' Sune Rose Wagner told NME.COM.

While Sharin Foo - the other half of the Danish duo - prepares for the birth of her child, Wagner will perform with Foo's sister, Louise, who is standing in for her.

"If the American public want to see The Raveonettes without Sharin, it's their only chance," he added.

Southern Californian indie rockers The Little Ones are also set to perform at the event.

"We love Pasadena - it's such a cool area and we thought the Make Music festival would be a great way to celebrate the summer solstice musically," The Little Ones frontman Ed Reyes told NME.COM. "The diverse festival exemplifies what Southern California is all about."

Also on the bill for the festival are Autolux, Kinky, Dengue Fever, Jesca Hoop and Everest.
