The Danish duo, joined by a drummer and bassist, played several tracks from the record, out October 5, including 'Last Dance' and 'Bang!', at the Hoxon Bar And Grill venue.

The band also played new song 'Boys Who Rape (Should All Be Destroyed)', which frontwoman Sharin Foo introduced by quietly remarking that it "was a sentiment I hope we can all agree with".

Along with previewing the new record – fans who had brought tickets in advance were able to purchase a signed advanced copy of the album on the night – the duo performed several crowd favourites including 'Great Love Sound', 'Attack Of The Ghostriders' and a blistering version of 'Love In A Trashcan'.

Finishing with 'Twilight', Sune Rose Wagner declared: "We'll see you again in December, we hope," hinting at a possible UK tour.

The Raveonettes played:

'Gone Forever'
'Dead Sound'
'Boys Who Rape (Should All Be Destroyed)'
