Rolling Stones star in negotiations to star in sitcom

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is currently in negotiations with US television network ABC to star in his own sitcom.

The plot revolves around a group of blue-collar guys in New York who decide to rob a celebrity, with Jagger playing the target.

Filming has already taken place on scenes for a pilot of the sitcom without Jagger. The singer would only appear in a few scenes, and his name is not expected to appear in the title of the show according to Reuters.

The Rolling Stones are due to begin the European leg of their world tour in Barcelona on May 27.
