Keith Richards released from hospital
The rock legend is recovering from his bizarre accident
legend Keith Richards has been released from a New Zealand hospital after injuring himself in a bizarre accident in Fiji last week (April 27).
The star reportedly hurt his head and suffered “mild concussion” when he fell out of a palm tree at an exclusive resort. It is not clear what he was doing in the tree.
Richards was taken to hospital in Auckland as a precaution, Stones spokeswoman Fran Curtis said.
"Following treatment locally and as a precautionary measure he flew to a hospital accompanied by his wife Patti for observation," Curtis said. She also said she did not know how the accident happened.
Hospital duty manager Geoff Sparks told the BBC: "He has been discharged. I can categorically confirm Mr Richards...is no longer a patient in this hospital.”
The Stones are due to start the European leg of their ‘A Bigger Bang’ world tour in Barcelona on May 27.
