The Rolling Stones have been forced to abandon their show in the Spanish city of Valladolid tonight (August 14).

Mick Jagger has been struck down by laryngitis, forcing the cancellation.

The star said: “I am very sorry to be cancelling this show. I always love playing in Spain, but unfortunately I have no other choice and I apologise to everyone who bought tickets.”

According to Reuters, Jagger, who has previously experienced voice difficulties, is now taking voice coaching lessons to prevent additional cancellations.

The show in Valladolid will not be rescheduled and all 37,000 fans with tickets are advised to obtain refunds at their place of purchase.

The band’s UK tour, kicking off at Twickenham Stadium on August 20, is thought not to be affected.
