Band go ahead with Vegas gig after Mick Jagger's father dies

played a gig in Las Vegas last night (November 11) just hours after Mick Jagger's father died.

Joe Jagger, died of pneumonia at a hospital in Kingston, Surrey, a spokesman for the singer said.

The 93-year-old was admitted to hospital over a week ago after falling in his home.

Jagger was at his father's bedside on Friday night before he flew out for last night's 'A Bigger Bang' concert, reports ABC News.

A private funeral is to be arranged.

The singer's mother, Eva, died in 2000. She and Joe Jagger had two children, Mick and Chris.
