Rolling Stones stage richest ever tour
The band pip U2 in the concert revenue stages
The British veteran’s A Bigger Band world jaunt has now generated the most money in concert history, pulling in over $437 million gross.
This puts it over U2’s Vertigo tour (2005-2006) which grossed $333m, which itself originally took the record from the ’ Voodoo Lounge tour (1994-95) which pulled in $320m, reports Billboard.
With U2 having resumed their world this month in Australia, they are expected to bring Vertigo’s gross to $377m, however it is strongly rumoured that the will continue their jaunt into 2007 suggesting they could top $500m.
