THE ROLLING STONES have announced that the premier gig on their disrupted European 'Bridges To Babylon' tour will be at Nuremberg on Saturday, June 13, followed by a concert in Milan San Siro Stadium on June 16.

The Rolling Stones press office say that the full rearranged tour itinerary will be announced on Monday, June 8. Their spokesman, however, confirmed that the UK dates set for London Wembley Stadium (August 20, 22), Edinburgh Murrayfield Stadium (24) and Sheffield Don Valley Stadium (26) will not alter.

The disruption to the tour, which was set to kick-off on May 22, is due to Keith Richards' accidental fall from a ladder in the library of his home in Connecticut in which he sustained two cracked ribs and severe bruising to his chest. Doctors refused to allow Richards to tour until they passed him fit.

The list of dates which the band have so far been unable to keep are: Berlin Olympic Stadium (May 22), Munich Olympic Stadium (24), Gelsenkirchen Parkstadion (26), Zagreb Hippodrom (28), Milan San Siro (30) and Barcelona Olympic Stadium (June 1). Scheduled shows at Lyons Expo Site (June 5) and Mannheim Malmankt (7) are the tour's latest casualties.

The spokesman added that in addition to the Nuremburg and Milan shows, the following dates from the original itinerary remain unchanged: Bilbao Est De San Mames (June 18), Werchter Festival Site (20, 21), Dusseldorf Rheinweisen (24), Hanover Expo (26), Amsterdam Arena (29, July 1, 2, 5, 6), Frauenfeld Festival Site (9), Wiener Neustadt Airfield (11), Malaga Puerto De Malaga (16). Re-scheduling of the itinerary begins from this date onwards.

NME.COM will aim to bring readers the new Stones tour schedule in full on Monday, June 8.
