Rolling Stones man headlines LA exhibit

The Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman will exhibit several photos from his lengthy and colourful rock-and-roll career at a Los Angeles gallery from Saturday (March 24) until April 15.

Wyman -- a member of the The Rolling Stones from their founding in 1962 until 1993 -- has captured intimate moments with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and other rock icons including John Lennon, which will be on display at the Morrison Hotel Gallery on Sunset Boulevard.

An opening reception will be held at the gallery on Saturday. Wyman does not plan to attend, but will participate in a video conference the following day with those who purchase prints at the gallery opening.

Wyman discussed his band's reaction to his photography hobby. "It was, 'Tell him to put that away' or 'Oh Bill, come off of it,'" he told the Los Angeles Times.

"Mick was always like that. The others didn't really mind. Charlie (Watts) least of all. Charlie was naturally posing. Looks like it was set up, but never was. He's so photogenic."
