Legendary frontman turns 65
Sir Mick Jagger has officially become an Old Age Pensioner.
The Rolling Stones' frontman celebrated his 65th birthday at the weekend (July 26), meaning under British law he is now entitled to a raft of benefits as a senior citizen.
The singer – said to be worth in the region of £230 million – is eligible to claim £87 a week from the state.
He also qualifies for a bus pass and other discounts.
Jagger has yet to comment on how his new status will affect him, but with a film production company alongside his activities with The Rolling Stones retirement seems some way off still.
