Mick Jagger working on new album by Eurythmics' Dave Stewart

His brother Chris confirms the news

Mick Jagger is working on new material with Eurythmics' Dave Stewart.

Jagger's brother Chris confirmed the news in an interview with Portuguese website RTP.

Asked what The Rolling Stones frontman was working on at present, Chris Jagger replied that he was working on Stewart's new album: "He's doing a record at the moment in Los Angeles with Dave Stewart, he called me last night telling me what he was doing."

Jagger and Stewart last worked together in 2004, releasing the single 'Old Habits Die Hard' as part of the Alfie soundtrack. The song reached Number 45 in the UK charts. Neither artist has yet confirmed they are working together again.

Earlier this month, The Rolling Stones released a statement saying they "have no firm plans to tour" at present, following persistent rumours they were set to take to the stage later in 2011.

Meanwhile, Keith Richards' daughter Theodora is in the news today (March 3), having been arrested on a drugs charge in New York.
