Keith Richards has hinted that The Rolling Stones are planning to play a special anniversary gig in London next year.

The guitarist said that there's "something in the wind" to mark 50 years since the group played their first ever gig, which took place in the capital on July 12, 1962.

"The idea is there. We kind of know we should do it, but nobody's put their finger on the moment yet," he told The Sun.

Richards also revealed that he has made up with Mick Jagger after mocking the frontman's penis in his memoirs.

"Mick pouted a bit, as is his wont. I told him, 'It's water under the bridge. I want to talk about the future. We're larger than a little bitching'," he commented.

The Rolling Stones were rumoured to be touring this year after plans for a live jaunt were revealed in a lawsuit last February. However, the band denied having any "firm" plans to hit the road.

Jagger announced yesterday (May 21) that he has formed Super Heavy, a new supergroup with Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, Joss Stone and Damian Marley.

Meanwhile, Richards has been working on a new album with his X-pensive Winos collective.
