Mick Jagger has said that One Direction remind him of The Rolling Stones.

Despite the clear musical differences between the legendary rockers and clean-cut boyband, Jagger told CNN that seeing their success had made him remember his early days with the Stones.

"I watched a concert of One Direction on TV the other night, you know, just to check [it] out," he said. "It reminded me very much of our early concerts, when we were pushed around among the audience and we would kind of float. They were like floating above the audience, and they looked really distinctly uncomfortable.

"I remember feeling that same uncomfortable feeling of being pushed around in this very weird place about 50 years ago," he added. "It was a very funny moment, because it was very similar to the things we've been through."

The Rolling Stones are set to play two shows at London's O2 Arena later this month (November 25, 29). They will also perform at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on December 8 and at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on December 13 and 15.
