The Rumble Strips mount West Country tour
The band return to their roots for August trek
The Rumble Strips have announced a short tour of their native west country.
The Topman NME New Music Tour headliners will play three dates around Devon and Cornwall in August.
"Growing up in the southwest, it was a pretty rare event for a band to come and play near us,” explained trumpeter Henry Clark of the home jaunt. “Occasionally the indie circuit would stretch as far as Plymouth, but Tavistock, never.
"We were raised on a live diet of world music and west country ska bands, which is why we ended up putting on our own nights, with our own bands playing. This west country tour will see us revisiting one or two of the places we played back then, when we were all 15. I remember those gigs as being pretty anarchic really. Hopefully not too much has changed."

Meanwhile the band release release new single ‘Girls and Boys in Love’ on August 27, with debut album ‘Girls and Weather’ following on September 10.
