ANOTHER SLEEPY DEPARTURE!

Guitarist Ben Nightingale is the latest to depart...

The Sleepy Jackson have parted company with their third band member in a year - this time guitarist BEN NIGHTINGALE.

The Australian group are currently in the studio demoing new tracks for the follow up to last year’s ‘Lovers’, and will next appear at the Big Day Out festival, which begins in Auckland on January 16.

Nightingale has been replaced by guitar tech and bassist J Cortez’ brother Jules, who filled in for Cortez when he broke his arm during the band’s recent UK tour.

"We kinda thought it was permanent, and he thought it was", frontman Luke Steele told NME.COM. "But now… he’s not really permanent!"

The Sleepy Jackson play an NME Awards Show on February 11. To buy tickets, click here.
