The Smashing Pumpkins to play one-off Glasgow show

The band warm up for the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals

The Smashing Pumpkins are to play a one-off Glasgow gig as a warm-up for their headline slots at the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals.

The comeback band, who release new album ‘Zeitgeist’ on July 7, will play the Carling Academy on August 22.

The band will then head to the Leeds leg of the August bank holiday feastival on August 24, before playing Reading on the final night (26).

As previously reported, frontman and guitarist Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin are now joined by new bassist Ginger Reyes, guitarist Jeff Schroeder and keyboardist Lisa Harriton.
