Hotly-tipped US band are set to play a residency in the capital next February

The Soft Pack announce debut London gigs

The Soft Pack have announced details of their first UK tour.

The San Diego band are set to play their first ever UK gig at a Shockwaves NME Awards Show with The Black Lips on February 15.

The band, who recently changed their name from The Muslims, will play six dates in London over 11 days next February. They are set to play two gigs in one day on February 19, performing first at Brick Lane's Rough Trade East before heading to Shoreditch's Old Blue Last pub later that evening.

They are also on the bill for The Breeders' All Tomorrow's Parties 2009 festival.

The Soft Pack play the following dates:

London Rough Trade East (19)
London Old Blue Last (19)
London Push (21)
London Hoxton Bar And Grill (26)
Minehead ATP 2009 (May 17)
