The Spice Girls play homecoming show

Emma Bunton plays on despite ankle injury

The Spice Girls played an amazing homecoming show tonight (December 15) at London's 02 Arena.

Emma Bunton played on despite spraining her ankle which she injured in Las Vegas during a performance of 'Spice Up Your Life'.

Before playing 'Mama' made reference to the injury by saying: β€œA special round of applause for Emma Bunton.”

After 'Stop' Bunton said : β€œIt's so good to be home. We love you London.”

The band played a two hour set which included a burlesque version of 'Too Much', 'Who Do You Think You Are' - which saw all the members re-create their trademark Spice Girl outfits including Geri Halliwell's iconic Union Jack dress- and a flamenco-themed 'Viva Forever'.

The group were watched by a celebrity packed audience which included Roberto Cavalli and Gordon Ramsay.

It was a great home coming concert - the whole atmosphere was electric and the girls put on a fantastic show.

We should be proud and celebrate all that the Spice Girls have brought to British music.
