£75 tickets prove huge earners for Victoria Beckham and co

The Spice Girls earned around £10 million each from their recent 17-night gig run at London’s O2 Arena, reports The Daily Mirror.

According to the newspaper, sources at the arena have estimated the £10 million figure after examining attendances for the shows, for which tickets cost £75 each.

Around 400,000 tickets were sold for the gigs. Along with merchandising and sponsorship deals, this meant that the band earned around £50 million overall.

Previously Geri Halliwell had said: “To put on this tour has cost £18.6 million. We have done this purely to celebrate our fans, the music and ourselves. This is not money-making.”
