Spice Girls' Mel C says she's pregnant - Tabloid Hell

She's the final Spice to become a mum

The Spice Girls' Mel C, also known as Sporty Spice, has announced she's pregnant.

The 34-year-old singer posted the news on her website today (August 22) that she's expecting her first child with partner Tom Starr.

"Some happy news! Well, I can now announce that Tom and I are expecting a baby and we are very happy," she wrote.

"As I'm sure you'll understand, we needed time to wait for results and tell our families. Thank you for all your kindness, good wishes and support (even if it was based on speculation!)," she said, referring to British tabloid rumours.

"I will be taking it easy but am also excited to start writing for the fifth album. I'll need some time off to be a mum, but, before you know it, I'll be back," she added.

Mel C, whose full name is Melanie Chisholm, is the last of the five Spice Girls to become a mum.
