SCARY MOVIE!

Scary tells NME.COM that she "won't be staying in a plush hotel like a lot of these presenters do" when she jets off to Nigeria for filming...

SCARY MOVIE!
MEL B is furthering her TV career by preparing to present a documentary on black magic, NME.COM can reveal.

The star will travel to Nigeria and spend ten or 11 days living in primitive conditions with the show's subjects.

In an interview with NME.COM, which will be published in full later this week, Mel revealed: "It's about black magic, voodoo, spells and alternative medicine. I won't be staying in a plush hotel like a lot of these presenters do, who go on set for five minutes. I'll be doing it properly. I had to have about six injections and I was screaming and swearing. When I came out of the doctor's, everyone was staring at me."

The Spice Girl will also be on our screens this summer, presenting a 12-week talent show, 'This Is My Moment', on ITV. Mel said: "I'm thrilled to be involved in 'This Is My Moment'. It's a brilliant show and what's great is that we are going to give away a superstar salary to one talented singer."

ITV's controller of entertainment, Claudia
Rosencratz, said Mel had been chosen to host the live Saturday night series because of her "huge charisma and charm". The show will have wannabe pop stars auditioning by telephone on a midweek programme, then five will be chosen to appear live on the Saturday night edition, with viewers voting by phone and 50 pence from each call going to the relevant hopeful.

Mel, who replaces the original pilot show's host, Ian
Wright, caused a storm of outrage at the weekend when she said "wanker" on children's show Live & Kicking.

But she defended herself, saying she was led into it: "All I did was finish the end of a poem where that word fitted perfectly... It wasn't my fault, it was their fault for having that word at the end."
