The Spinto Band reveal new album plans
The Spinto Band have revealed plans to a record a follow-up to their 2008 album 'Moonwink'.

The group, who recently released a four-track EP entitled 'Slim And Slender', are expected to head into the studio soon.

"We spent the summer converting an abandoned chicken coop into a studio recording space," singer and guitarist Nick Krill told NME.COM. "Our first undertaking in the coop/studio is a new Spinto Band full-length. Right now we don't have funding, but we are expecting at least three of us to receive MacArthur Genius Grants in the coming year and, if that doesn't work, possibly a Guggenheim Fellowship."

The band also revealed how they have tried to enlist the help of Razorlight's Johnny Borrell.

"We sent an email to resident UK genius – the Razorlight guy Johnny Borrell – asking for tips, but he hasn't written back." Krill joked. "We haven't been to the UK in a year, is that guy still considered a genius?"

The Spinto Band play the following US dates:

Philadelphia, PA, Johnny Brenda's (October 21)
Cambridge, MA, TT the Bear's (22)
Washington DC, WA, Rock'N'Roll Hotel (24)
