Stone Roses ready 20th anniversary edition of self-titled debut
Landmark album gets the deluxe treatment
Original producer John Leckie has returned to the studio with frontman Ian Brown to remaster the album, which will be released in the US on August 11 via Silvertone/Legacy.
It will be available in three different packages. The first, 'Stone Roses: Special Edition', will include the remastered album with an expanded booklet. The second, 'Stone Roses: Legacy Edition', will feature the remastered album along with a second CD titled 'The Lost Demos', which features 15 tracks including the previously unreleased 'Pearl Bastard' as well as the concert DVD 'Live In Blackpool', filmed in 1989. It will be packaged inside a 28-page booklet.
The third and final 'Stone Roses: Collectors Edition' will include the remastered album, the 'Lost Demos' disc and a third CD of B-sides and non-album singles. It will also come with a 12-inch album folder with three vinyl LPs including the original album as well as 13 B-sides and non-album tracks housed in a gold foil-embossed hardback slipcase.
The 'Collectors Edition' will also come with a lemon-shaped USB containing Stone Roses promo videos, ringtones, wallpapers and previously released John Leckie home video footage of the recording of 'Fools Gold'.
Lastly, it will come packaged with a 48-page book of photos and notes from the band as well as fellow musicians and fans including The Charlatans' Tim Burgess, Oasis' Noel Gallagher, Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie and Mark Ronson.
