Stone Roses' Mani: 'We did 'I Am The Resurrection' outro in one take!'

Bassist boasts about classic song

The Stone Roses' former bassist Mani has revealed that the Manchester legends recorded the famous outro to their classic song 'I Am The Resurrection' in one live take.

Mani was discussing the song (hear it by clicking below) as part of an interview in the new issue of NME, out now, about the reissue of the band's 1989 debut album 'The Stone Roses', set for release on August 10.

"The album closer… and what an ending!" he boasted. "A great song followed by one of the best pay-offs of all time. The end section was recorded live in one take by me, John [Squire, guitar] and Reni [drums]. Simply stunning."
