The Stone Roses have announced plans to play a one-off gig at Dublin's Phoenix Park next year.

The reformed Manchester band will perform on July 5, 2012. Tickets go on sale at 8am next Tuesday (December 20) and are limited to six per person.

The announcement comes following their three massive shows at Manchester's Heaton Park next June. The band also recently confirmed they will playing T In The Park in 2012 and they are rumoured to be performing at the V Festival.

The band recently signed two record deals ahead of their reunion shows next year.

Universal Records have signed the band in the UK and worldwide, while Columbia, owned by Sony, have contracted the band in the US.

Ian Brown and John Squire recently reunited onstage for the first time in 16 years as part of Mick Jones' Hillsborough Justice Campaign gig at Manchester's Ritz venue, playing on versions of The Clash's 'Bankrobber' and 'Armagideon Time' and The Stone Roses' 'Elizabeth My Dear'.
