The Stone Roses appeal to fans to help find missing man
Band help police search for Christopher Brahney, 22, who went missing after Heaton Park gig
The Stone Roses have appealed to fans to come forward with any information they have about the whereabouts of missing person Christopher Brahney.
The 22-year-old, who is from Timperley, Manchester, was last seen by friends at roughly 11.30pm (BST) after the Roses' first show at Heaton Park last week (June 29), but has not been since.
A statement from the band reads:
If you saw Christopher at the end of the evening please get in touch with Greater Manchester Police and spread the word to everyone who came to the show. Our thoughts are with Christopher's family and we all want to see him back at home safe and sound.
A previous press release from the Greater Manchester Police stated that Christopher - pictured above - is white, of slim build and with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue top, light blue shirt, maroon trousers and green wellington boots.
Detective Chief Inspector Melani Linton, said: "Christopher's family are clearly very worried about him and are desperate for any information relating to his whereabouts. We believe Chris may have used the park and ride facility at Bowlee Park, Heywood Old Road, Middleton. There were dozens of coaches in the car park with destinations all over the country."
He continued: "Chris could have got on one of these coaches, did you see him or speak to him? I would urge anyone with any information to contact the police, this could be vital to our investigation and provide some much needed answers for his family. Christopher, if you see or hear this appeal, we would ask that you make contact with us or your family as soon as possible."
Anyone with information is asked to call the Greater Manchester Police on 0161 856 7652.
Around 225,000 people attended The Stone Roses three shows in Manchester's Heaton Park over the weekend.
