A container of "captured atmosphere" from the The Stone Roses' first Heaton Park gig is for sale on eBay.

According to the eBay listing, the unique ether was collected from the crowd between performances of 'This Is The One' and 'She Bangs The Drums'. "The atmosphere was collected at around 10pm on the opening night (June 29), and is sealed in an airtight container," confirms the seller. "This is (as far as I know) the ONLY example of 'captured atmosphere' in existence."

Seeking to prevent buyer disappointment, the seller refused to guarantee that the container preserves any musical matter from the Manchester band. "thepotman0161" clarified: "is it like a sea shell?.. will i be able to hear the roses if i open the top??.......not sure if atmosphere and sound mix at the same sort of rate ..so i cant guarantee you will be able to hear the roses when you open the container..sorry..just want to cover myself.. ive got a 100 rating on e bay and would like to keep it :)"

With regret, thepotman0161 also explained that the atmosphere is too potentially hazardous to be posted abroad. Owing to "the totally electrified and awsome atmosphere in the container", the seller explained, "it might cause security/health and safety issues being carried in a pressurised aircraft environment".

As of today (July 7), the price of the item stands at £8.50 - with an additional £2.50 for "economy delivery". However, Stone Roses fans and captured atmosphere collectors still have more than three days to place a bid.
