The Stone Roses have confirmed that they will continue touring in 2013.

The reunited Madchester legends have revealed that they will carry on playing together next year, having announced a series of shows at the Future Music Festival in Australia next March.

The run of gigs starts at Brisbane's Doomben Racecourse on March 2 and takes in dates at Perth, Sydney and Melbourne before finishing up on Adelaide Bonython Park on March 11. For more information see Futurentertainment.com.

The Stone Roses will play:

Brisbane Doomben Racecourse (March 2)
Perth Arena Joondalup (March 3)
Sydney Royal Randwick (March 9)
Melbourne Flemington Racecourse (March 10)
Adelaide Bonython Park (March 11)

The band recently entered the Guinness World Book Of Records for the fastest selling rock concerts in UK history. The 220,000 tickets for their Heaton Park comeback gigs at the end of June and beginning of July sold out in 68 minutes.

Last month, Glastonbury boss Emily Eavis ruled out the possibility of them headlining next year's bash at Worthy Farm. They are reportedly working on a new studio album which could be released in 2013. It is not known whether they will play new material at the Australian shows.
