Lily Allen – now known by her married name Lily Cooper – has shared news of the birth of The Stone Roses bassist Mani's twins.

Earlier today (December 14) the popstar - who is currently pregnant with her second child - retweeted a message written by Mani on his partner Imelda Mounfield's Twitter account. In the tweet he revealed the names of his two new sons, Gene Clark and George Christopher. He wrote:

The bassist knew about the arrival before the band's comeback gigs in Manchester's Heaton Park in late June/early July, but kept the news quiet until Mounfield was through the early stages of the pregnancy.

A limited number of extra tickets to see The Stone Roses at their two gigs at London's Finsbury Park in June 2013 went on sale today, priced at £55 plus booking fee.

The reformed Madchester legends announced three UK shows for June 2013 back in October. The group will play two nights in London's Finsbury Park on June 7 and 8 followed by a single show at Glasgow Green on June 15. The supports for the Glasgow show are Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and The View.

According to reports, The Stone Roses are set to release a brand new studio album in 2013. The Manchester legends, who originally split up in 1996, reunited last year and have taken part in globe trotting reunion tour this year, which included three sold-out gigs at Manchester's Heaton Park and a series of festival headline sets.
