The Stone Roses reveal Shane Meadows 'Made Of Stone' documentary trailer - watch

Band will unveil their new film at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on May 30

The Stone Roses have revealed the trailer for their documentary film Made Of Stone.

The trailer for the Shane Meadows directed film is the first fans have seen on the movie, which documents the bands 2012 reunion and subsequent live shows. The first showing of the film will take place on Thursday, May 30 at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester. The band will be in attendance, and it will be followed by a Q&A with director Shane Meadows. Tickets go onsale on Wednesday (April 17) at 9.30am.

The May 30 premiere will be broadcast live to 100 cinemas nationwide following and it will see a general release on June 5. The film was made by This Is England director Shane Meadows and goes behind the scenes on the Manchester band's 2012 reunion, from the early stages to their celebratory hometown gigs at Heaton Park.

Shane Meadows said of the documentary: "Making this film, I got to be part of something truly remarkable, the double decade awaited ‘resurrection’ of my all time favourite band, The Stone Roses. People say that you can’t recapture your youth, it’ll never be the same second time round etc, but that’s utter rubbish. The Roses were never allowed to reach their peak first time around so, as far as I and millions of fans around the world were concerned, with this comeback the Roses could be even greater. This film isn’t a history lesson, nor is it a two-hour concert film. It is a film about defying the odds, sticking it to the man and telling the cynics to shut their pie-holes!"
