The Streets gig at London's O2 Academy Brixton last night (January 29) was cancelled at the last minute due to a power failure at the venue.
Blogging on The Streets' MySpace about the incident, Mike Skinner said he was "heartbroken", adding that the matter was out of his hands.
At 8:30pm (GMT) – while fans were queuing up outside the venue – Skinner posted the following message:
"Tonight's Brixton show has been cancelled due to a power cut. Gutted. Not sure what to say really. I was really excited, turned up and no lights in the whole building.
"They [venue staff] phoned the power company, who weren't very helpful unfortunately. I'll keep you all posted but the sight of you all outside queuing is heartbreaking."
Organisers have told NME.COM they plan to rescheduled the gig and everyone should hold on to their tickets.
