The Streets have cancelled their appearance at tomorrow's (August 14) Leicester Summer Sundae festival and their Sunday (15) show at the Edinburgh Picture House.
Band mainman Mike Skinner first made the announcement on his Twitter page, Twitter.comskinnermike.
A spokesperson then revealed that the shows had been pulled due to bassist Wayne Vibes being diagnosed with swine flu.
The singer wrote that he hoped to reschedule the Edinburgh show. "It is with sincere regret that we've had to cancel this weekends shows," he wrote. "I think my previous messages have demonstrated my frustration."
Skinner had earlier Tweeted: "Waiting to hear from management but I suspect this weekend is not going to happen. I want to cry for socialist and capitalist reasons. Just as I get the all clear, my bass player Wayney is diagnosed with swine flu."
