The Strokes and The Darkness are rumoured to be playing a massive charity show in Cardiff.

A source close to the project has told NME.COM that both bands will appear at the Millennium Stadium at the end of January as part of a “huge show aimed at raising environmental awareness”.

A spokesperson for The Strokes has confirmed their involvement. The band will be in the UK around that time as part of their own tour in support of new album 'First Impressions Of Earth'.

Final details of the show, including ticket details, are likely to be announced in the coming weeks.
