The Strokes are to play a ‘secret’ gig at the Natural History Museum in London.

The New Yorkers will play among the dinosaurs, fossils and foliage on July 6.

The show is part of the T-Mobile series of gigs. Tickets are strictly by invite only. To be in with a chance of getting on the guest list, fans must register online here before 9am on Monday (July 3).

Alternatively you can win tickets by checking out the current issue of NME.

The Strokes meanwhile are looking forward to the unusual venue.

"We have played in many different places before but never in front of a dinosaur, we are looking forward to it, will be a great night,” the band declared in a statement.

The band played London’s Hyde Park last week (June 21) as part of the 02 Wireless Festival. New single, ‘You Only Live Once’, is released on July 10.
