'1965 Records' team up with NME for special CD
Man behind The Libertines compiles free album for new issue
The CD collects the best new bands on his new label 1965 Records.
The View whose ’Screamin’ N Shoutin’ (live) features on the exclusive compilation, explained why they signed to owner James Endeacott’s label.
Guitarist Peter Reilly said: “We signed to James’ label because he’s a totally genuine guy who’s really enthusiastic about what we do.
“He’d be down the front at our gigs jumping and shouting ‘Love you boys!’”
The CD ’NME Presents: Independent Thinking’ 1965 Records features 14 tracks from 14 exciting bands, including Ripchord, The Draytones and The Law.
