The Strokes' bassist Nikolai Fraiture has formed a new band.
Fraiture has joined bandmate Albert Hammond, Jr. in going solo with a new group, and has even enlisted help from Regina Spektor and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' guitarist Nick Zinner.
The outfit, called Nickel Eye, have their own myspace Myspace.com/officialnickeleye, but have yet to put any music online yet.
However Mark Ronson recently played two tracks on his radio show on Eastvillageradio.com.
The show, dated June 6, also features an interview with Fraiture.
No live dates have been announced yet.
