Julian Casablancas will unveil his hugely anticipated debut album at a "special live engagement" in Japan at the end of this month, he announced today (August 22).
The Strokes frontman will let fans finally discover exactly what they can expect from 'Phrazes For The Young' at the Duo Music Exchange in Tokyo on August 31.
The album has yet to be given a release date, though it will appear at some point in the autumn.
The Tokyo show is the first of what is expected to be a number of gigs from Casablancas coming towards the back end of this year.
"Will I play UK solo shows? Yeah, sure! It will probably be October, roughly," Casablancas told the NME last week.
He added: "I'm in the process of figuring out what kind of show it's going to be. It's like anything, it's starting out probably a little bit too ambitious so we've got to figure out what we can and can't do and that will dictate how much touring happens. Ideally, I'm going to try to put on some over-the-top, amazing, Disney shows."
