The Strokes' drummer Fabrizo Moretti unveils art installation in New York
The drummer's sculpture features outside the Rag + Bone store on East Street
Moretti's piece, which features rows of alters filled with handmade plastic astronauts, was spotted outside the Rag + Bone store on East Houston Street. It is part of the clothing brand's ongoing urban art project, in which they get artists to revamp the store's façade.
'Comedown Machine', The Strokes' most recent album, was released in March this year (2013). The band's bassist Nikolai Fraiture subsequently revealed that they have no plans to tour the record.
There could be "10 more Strokes albums" in the future, however, guitarist Albert Hammond Jr revealed in an interview last month.
"There might be times when we're not doing things but I don't feel like we'll ever stop. We've come to the point where we've been together so long and been through so much that why announce anything besides what we're doing? We're just together," he said.
