London’s Capital Children’s Choir have taken on a song by The Strokes.

The choir, who also covered Crystal Castles’ ‘Untrust Us’ back in 2013, recently uploaded a video of themselves singing ‘Chances’ from the New York band’s most recent album ‘Comedown Machine’.

Writing about their song choice, they said: “‘Chances’ is one of our favourite songs by The Strokes. We liked all the different parts in the song just as much as we did the main melody, so we wanted to try singing the whole thing a cappella.”

“We replaced the guitar and synth parts with different vocal effects; for the percussion we used our feet and vocal sounds.”

The Strokes, meanwhile, have confirmed that that they are back in the studio working on new music.

The band released ‘Comedown Machine’ in 2013, with frontman Julian Casablancas recently hinting that the band are working on new music.

Casablancas later offered fans an update during the band’s headlining set at Landmark Music Festival in Washington, DC on September 27, with several gig-goers in attendance confirming that the singer reiterated plans for a new LP.
