The Temper Trap have warned their fans they may have to wait until 2012 before they release another album.

The Australian band said they are in no rush to complete the follow-up to their 2009 debut 'Conditions', despite the success they've enjoyed with Top Ten single 'Sweet Disposition'.

"Album two is still way off in the distance," said drummer Toby Dundas. "We're going to start seriously writing it early next year so it might make it out next year, but it could easily drag on until 2012 before it actually comes out."

He added: "We don't want to rush it. There's all that pressure that comes with the second album. We want to make something we're really proud of before we share it with everyone."

The band are due to play at this year's V Festival on August 21 and 22, which takes place at sites in Essex and Staffordshire.
