The song is the most requested on the Shazam service

The Ting Tings' 'Great DJ' is the most popular independent track of 2008 so far, according to song identification service Shazam.

The service identifies any song played down a phone line and texts the user the title and artist of the track.

The Wombats' 'Moving To New York' and Hot Chip's 'Ready For The Floor' are the second and third most popular tracks people have asked to be identified.

Vampire Weekend, Foals and Bloc Party also feature on the list.
