The Ting Tings packed out the NME/Radio 1 Stage as they made their Reading Festival debut this afternoon (August 23).

The Salford duo proved the biggest draw in the tent so far today, with scores of fans clamouring on the edge of the tent, attempting to get in.

Those who did get in were treated to an impressive gymnastics show, as the band brought on four acrobats to accompany them on stage at the end of the show.

Members of Mystery Jets, who played in the tent before the band, watched from the side of the stage, as did The Cribs' Ross Jarman and BBC Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq.

Near the start of the set 'Great DJ' earned the band a huge cheer as the crowd recognised the song's distinctive bleep pulse sounds.

The set was almost seemingly scuppered though as, during 'Shut Up And Let Me Go', the song made famous by appearing on a recent Apple iPod advert, the sound suddenly cut out, prompting loud boos from the audience.

However, a roadie scampered on stage and fixed the problem quickly, inducing huge cheers. Halfway through the song the duo paused and stood motionless as the crowd cheered more, before completing the song.

The band ended their set with recent Number One single 'That's Not My Name'. As the pair played the song four gymnasts arrived on stage and performed a series of hugely impressive tricks and flips using two scipping ropes, providing an impressive visual show to accompany the singalong.

The Ting Tings played:

'We Walk'
'Great DJ'
'Fruit Machine'
'Keep Your Head'
'We Started Nothing'
'Traffic Light'
'Be The One'
'Shut Up And Let Me Go'
'That's Not My Name'
